Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with 2 years of skilled Medicare-certified home health and acute care experience, requiring a PA or compact RN license.

Details

• Home Health setting providing in-home patient care
• Primary patient diagnoses include CHF, hypertension, diabetes, total joint replacement, and oncology/cancer
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekends or on-call requirements
• Uses Matrix EMR (highly preferred) along with laptop, iPad, and iPhone for documentation

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact)
• Current BLS certification required
• OASIS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of skilled Medicare-certified home health experience (private home care not accepted)
• Acute care experience preferred
• OASIS knowledge and experience required
• Above average technical knowledge, including use of electronic devices for documentation
• 1 supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration
• Must complete PA fingerprinting and ChildLine process within 48 hours of signing contract
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include admission assessments, case management, recertification, resumption of care, routine visits, and start of care documentation
• Skills include wound care, catheter management, medication administration, IV and central line care, and ostomy/tube management
• Experience with chronic disease management, orthopedic care, respiratory care, and oncology-related home health needs
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet the experience requirements
• Travel pairs will be considered
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• Previous Penn Highlands Healthcare employees must have been separated from permanent or per diem roles for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
