Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU/Telemetry position requiring med/surg experience and NIH Stroke Certification.

Details

• PCU unit with 12 beds
• Patient ratios of 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for med/surg and PCU patients
• Unit staffed with Charge RN, RNs, and PCT support
• Equipment used includes ventilators, specialty beds, and occasionally CRRT
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Shift schedule runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Contract labor floats first per unit floating policy

Requirements

• Active RN license, TN or compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Certification required for PCU
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior med/surg experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
