Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications and a minimum of 2 years ER experience.

Details

• 86-bed acute care hospital's Emergency Department with 16 beds
• Patient population spans all ages, from neonate through older adult
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Night shift schedule, 7PM-7AM, working every other weekend
• Equipment includes Code Cart (Adult & Pediatric), Defibrillator, GE Cardiac Monitors (B450), ECG, and Rapid Transfuser
• Uses Paragon ED EHR system
• Floating not typical but may occasionally be required
• No on-call requirements
• Facility is an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital with Chest Pain Center Accreditation

Requirements

• Active RN license in NC or compact state required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Skills in triage/ESI levels, prioritization, rapid assessment, critical thinking, resuscitation, fast track, and splinting/immobilization required
• Experience with moderate sedation (adult/peds), cardioversion, and transcutaneous pacing preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, sepsis, respiratory, and obstetric cases
• Scrub color is any solid color
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
