Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a float position across multiple units requiring 2+ years of recent experience and Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience.
Details
- Float position across the MedSurg Staffing Resource Team (SRT), covering units 1 East, 1 West, 2 West, 2&3 East, 3 West, 4 West, 5 West, ED, and PACU
- Will cover ED and PACU borders as well as potential Deceased Patient Coordinator (DPC) duties
- 12-hour PM-AM shifts, 19:00-07:00
- Cares for post-surgical patients requiring lines, tubes, and drains
- Manages chest tubes, trachs/laryngectomies, telemetry, complex wounds, and central lines
Requirements
- Active NH RN license or Compact RN license with proof of state residency required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent equivalent Med/Surg experience required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Experience with drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone required
- Experience with central line care, maintenance, and blood draws required
- Previous float experience highly preferred
Additional Information
- Floats between multiple Med/Surg units as needed based on staffing demands
- Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position
