Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active ME or compact RN license.

Details

• Med Surg Telemetry unit with 56 beds in a hospital setting
• General Med/Surg Telemetry patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 days and 1:5-6 nights
• Night shift, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• On-call requirement of two 12-hour call shifts during the 13-week contract
• Floating to other Med/Surg units as needed within a 25-mile radius
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (ME or compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry inpatient experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry floor as part of a collaborative nursing team
• Dress code allows any scrub color as long as attire is clean and professional; hoodies, graphic shirts, and open shoes are not permitted
• Education modules completed through the facility's LMS, consistent for all travelers on the unit
• Unable to accommodate Christmas RTO; RTO should otherwise be kept to a minimum (3-4 days for a 13-week contract, at manager's discretion)
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
