Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for Outpatient and Inpatient Rehab with a minimum of 1 year of experience and current BLS certification.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting with 25 staffed beds
• Position covers both Outpatient and Inpatient Rehab PT services
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM-4:30 PM)
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted, RQI cards not accepted)
• License required if applicable
• Experience with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic patient populations preferred
• Skilled in adaptive devices, gait training, and various assessment techniques
• Proficient in documentation including evaluations, care plans, and discharge planning

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and home exercise program development
• Treats a variety of conditions including post-op orthopedic cases, COPD, CHF, stroke rehabilitation, and spinal cord injuries
• Utilizes equipment such as Hoyer lifts, gait belts, and specialty beds
• Grey scrub color required
• Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Time off requests should be discussed directly with the hospital manager
• Travel pairs are not accepted
