Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Ortho unit position requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and an active Illinois RN license.
Details
- Work on a Med/Surg Ortho unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, 7am-7:30pm
- Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Epic EMR charting experience required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Serve as the primary caregiver for an assigned group of patients, utilizing the nursing process to guide care delivery
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
- Implement and modify care plans, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures based on ongoing evaluation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation for integration across the healthcare team
- Report and correct safety hazards to support patient and employee safety
- Participate in professional development by offering peer feedback and pursuing ongoing learning
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates may not have been on assignment at Carle Health for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
