Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift float position requiring MA licensure and CCU/ED experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a teaching hospital setting
• This is a float position requiring floating to ED/CCU as needed
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36-hour guaranteed weekly schedule
• Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand at time of profile upload (compact license not accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and NRP certifications required in hand at time of profile upload
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
• Minimum 2 years of CCU/ED experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed
• Candidate must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Skills checklist for Medical Surgical experience current within 1 year required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit with floating responsibilities to ED/CCU
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position
• Permanent address and any RTO requests must be included in profile at time of submission; scheduling requests cannot be made after offer
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted for the duration of the assignment
• Must be available to work during two holiday blocks: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through the following weekend
• Candidates with block scheduling accommodations will not be considered
• Dress code allows personal scrubs of any color
