Description

American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer for a Vascular Sonography department, requiring 2+ years of experience and RVT certification.

Details

• Acute care setting in the Vascular Sonography department within Radiology
• Department has 4 ultrasound machines, currently using Philips equipment with GE equipment transitioning in within 6 weeks
• Evening shift, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with no self-scheduling
• Rotating weekend coverage and rotating call requirements, with elimination of call planned soon
• No floating to other departments required
• No holiday requirements
• Performs all vascular procedures
• EPIC EMR used, with transition from Meditech/Agfa PACS planned

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification required
• RVT certification through ARDMS or RVS through CCI required
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Imaging Program required
• License required if applicable
• No IV starts required for this position

Additional Information

• Works alongside a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech
• In-house radiologist available, though vascular surgeon performs reads
• Black scrubs required, provided by American Traveler
• Accepts candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Returning travelers must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying if previously employed at a WVU Medicine location
• Travelers are limited to one year of cumulative work within WVU facilities before requiring a 2-year break
