Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift contract on an Ortho unit, requiring at least three years of nursing experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Med/Surg unit with an orthopedic patient population (6C Ortho)
- Night shift schedule: 3x 12-hour shifts per week, 7pm-7:30am
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Serve as the primary caregiver for an assigned group of patients, applying the nursing process to plan and deliver care
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient and family needs
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date nursing documentation to support care coordination
- Identify and address safety hazards for patients and staff
- Collaborate with colleagues and provide constructive feedback to support professional development
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (no local candidates)
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment at Carle Health for more than one year without a 6-month break in service
