Description

American Traveler is hiring a Case Management RN for a 13-week assignment requiring at least 1 year of case management experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Hospital-based Case Management/Utilization Review role
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Caseload of approximately 20 patients
• Required to float between units
• Every other weekend required
• Block scheduling required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active OR RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of case management experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS certification required
• Case Management Certification preferred
• Experience with discharge planning, care coordination, and determining medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines
• Familiarity with CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission regulatory standards preferred
• 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required (may include Charge RNs/Leads)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include admission criteria review, appeals and denials, discharge planning, needs assessment/DME ordering, plan of care development, and prior authorizations
• May be required to float between sister facilities within the same state
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Former permanent staff may return after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including dates and location, as part of the application process
