Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, and proficiency with cardiac drips.
Details
- Medical Surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 schedule based on traveler preference (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Block scheduling available
- Patient ratios up to 1:6-7
- Requires proficiency administering cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone drips
Requirements
- Active Alabama or Compact RN license required in hand at time of submittal
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- Experience working in large healthcare facilities required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
- Former permanent staff are not eligible to apply for 10 years following separation
- Travelers who have completed 2 consecutive contracts must take a 6-month break before returning
- Pre-start modules are required prior to beginning the assignment
