Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CO or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
• 13-week assignment with variable 12-hour shifts on mids/nights
• 36 hours per week across 3 shifts
• Weekend shifts required
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for clinical documentation

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required, no pending license allowed
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications must not expire prior to start)
• Epic EMR charting experience preferred
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for ED patients
• Provide patient and family health teaching and counseling
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for this assignment
