Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric and infant experience for a Day shift assignment requiring ARDMS (or CCI) certification.

Details

• Performs echocardiography services across adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and emergency department settings
• Pediatric population includes anomalies such as aortic arch abnormalities, coarctation of the aorta, coronary artery anomalies, hypoplastic heart syndrome, tetralogy of Fallot, and transposition of the great vessels
• Performs adult echo studies including 2-D, 3-D, color doppler, bubble study, imaging with contrast agents, M-mode, TEE, and stress echo
• Performs pediatric echo studies including 2-D, color doppler, continuous wave and pulsed wave doppler, M-mode, RVIT, and RVOT
• Completes calculations including diastology, LV strain/LV volume, proximal isovelocity surface area, and Simpson's Rule
• Uses GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, Toshiba, and PACS equipment
• 4x10 hour Day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call requirement included
• Epic charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ARDMS certification required (CCI may be considered in place of ARDMS)
• BLS required; CCI certification preferred
• Travel experience strongly preferred unless candidate has a strong work history
• Pediatric and infant echo experience required
• Management or lead experience preferred
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Experience performing procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana testing; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers may be considered with a strong work history
