Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele experience and OH or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Float Pool position within the MS/Tele unit
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5
- Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00AM-7:30PM
- Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
- Availability required for weekdays and some weekends, including holidays
- Uses EPIC EHR system
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a MS/Tele setting
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred
- Proficient in IV start and telemetry monitoring
- Experience with EPIC EHR system
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a MS/Tele setting
- Skills may include IV therapy, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, HFNC, tracheostomy care), neuro/psych care, wound care, and IV insulin protocols
- 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for the second reference; no coworker references accepted
- Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
- Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this health system
- Candidates must complete Ohio BCI & FBI fingerprinting urgently upon accepting an offer
- RTO must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less
- Locals accepted at the same rate
