Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of critical care experience.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed ICU/CCU unit at a Level IV trauma facility
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule with 6 weekend shifts required within a 6 week schedule
• May float if needed
• No call requirements
• Uses Baxter pumps and Tele Access Critical Care equipment
• MedHost EHR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Registered Nurse education required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Care for patients with diagnoses including respiratory failure, DKA, COPD exacerbation, post heart cath, CHF, and post-op cases
• Black scrubs required per facility dress code
• Candidates must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated
• Permanent residence must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate; local rate applies otherwise
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
• Every other weekend coverage required
