Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience and an OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) at a children's hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30
• 8-week contract length
• Scheduled to work every other weekend, subject to change based on unit needs
• Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (OH or Compact) in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric hospital experience required
• 2 supervisory references required at time of consideration, with at least one manager/supervisor titled reference
• Skilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, tracheostomy care, and ABG interpretation
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care
• Experience with congenital heart disease/repair, ECMO, hemodynamic monitoring, and post cardiac surgery care preferred
• Experience with CRRT preferred
• Skilled in managing continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients, including post cardiac surgery and congenital heart disease cases
• Candidates must be prepared to float to multiple units as needed based on facility requirements
• Must not have worked in a permanent position at this facility within the last 2 years
• Local candidates are not permitted; a 60-mile radius rule applies
• No RTO (requested time off) permitted during this contract
