Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with 3 years of recent OR experience across multiple surgical specialties for a 14-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Staff rotate through a variety of surgical specialty areas including Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• On-call requirements: weekday call 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, weekend call Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM, with a 40-minute response time
• Call assignments are determined through a rotating list, typically 2-3 weekday calls during a 6-week period followed by one weekend call in the next 6-week period
• May be asked to provide late coverage as backup if the OR schedule runs over, scheduled in advance

Requirements

• Active KY state or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room experience required
• Experience required in Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS specialties
• Level 1 trauma experience desired
• No active license hits accepted for consideration
• At least one professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must disclose all requested time off at the time of consideration, as requests made after an offer will not be approved
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Returning permanent staff must have been separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Orientation and annual training modules are required and vary by specialty
