Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of telemetry experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
- Weekend shifts required
- Floating required
- Epic charting experience preferred
Requirements
- Active NJ state or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
- Competent in respiratory care including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- RTO must be submitted in advance, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
