Description

American Traveler is hiring a Dialysis RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring acute inpatient dialysis experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Dialysis unit with 4 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Call required at approximately 12 hours per week
• Floating required but rarely needed
• EMR system is Cerner with Mindray telemetry monitoring

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Acute care inpatient dialysis experience required
• Tablo device experience preferred
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide shift accountability for dialysis patient care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in care planning and delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Scrub color required is royal blue
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Travelers who worked at the facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
