Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN with cardiac critical care and fresh open heart experience for a night shift travel assignment.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular-Thoracic ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:4
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1-2 years of cardiac critical care experience required
• Fresh open heart surgery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line and central line management, and blood product administration
• Experience managing ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, and interpreting ABGs
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with CABG, post cardiac surgery care, and pulmonary artery/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Experience with sheath removal, dysrhythmia management, and multisystem organ dysfunction care
• Two professional references required at time of consideration
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required

Additional Information

• Provide advanced critical care nursing to cardiovascular and post-surgical cardiac patients
• Facility performs its own pre-employment drug screen upon arrival in addition to standard credentialing
• RTO cannot be accommodated during major holiday weeks
• Candidates residing in Moore County are not eligible for the travel rate
• Former employees of the health system must have been separated from employment for at least 1 year to be considered
