Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification, with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
Details
- Acute care hospital with attached 71-bed skilled Extended Care facility and Level IV trauma designation
- Both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy settings
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, potentially Monday through Friday
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
- Uses Cerner for hospital charting and PCC for long-term care documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- State license required; license required if applicable, compact license accepted
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including joint replacements, spinal conditions, and fractures preferred
- Experience with modalities such as e-stim, ultrasound, traction, and hydrotherapy preferred
- Experience with assistive and adaptive devices, gait training, and body mechanics preferred
- Experience with cardiopulmonary, geriatric, and wound care patient populations preferred
- Experience with neurologic conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's, MS, and TBI preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation, plan of care development, and discharge documentation
- Scrub color is unrestricted, subject to facility dress code policy
- Free parking and free housing available
- Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
- First-time travelers not accepted for this position
- No time off permitted within the first two weeks due to orientation, with a general limit of one week of time off during the assignment
