Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele unit, requiring MA RN licensure and prior telemetry experience.
Details
- Work on a 40-bed medical/surgical unit with a telemetry focus
- Patient population includes adults and geriatrics, including colorectal surgery pathway (ISCR) patients
- Manage cardiac drips such as Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Bumex, Insulin, and Lasix
- Evening shift schedule, 5x8 hours (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- Floating required
- Uses Omnicell medication system and Cerner documentation system
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
- Experience titrating cardiac drips
- Cerner experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care on a telemetry-focused medical/surgical unit, including cardiac drip management and dysrhythmia monitoring
- Support colorectal surgery pathway (ISCR) patients following standardized recovery protocols
- First-time travelers with 2-3 years of experience and either Epic or Cerner experience will be considered
- Returning staff must wait one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
