Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring CA RN license, Epic experience, and prior travel experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Weekend shifts as needed
• Utilizes Epic EMR
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response duties
• Participation in Rapid Response/Code teams
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• Respiratory care including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Non-invasive airway management

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• BSN required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Two supervisor references required
• Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg unit including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Support use of rapid response and code teams as needed
• Manage peripheral IV lines and respiratory support equipment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Previous employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred
