Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Acute care setting in a Surgical Services unit with 5 operating suites and 2 procedure rooms
• Performs 20-30 cases per day across general surgery, ortho, gyne, podiatry, endoscopy, and ophthalmology
• Monday-Friday day shift schedule (6:45am-3:15pm) with 1-2 later shifts (9am-5:30pm) per 6-week schedule
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Call required once per week on weeknights (3:15pm-6:45am) and one weekend every 5-6 weeks (Sat 7am-Mon 7am)
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• OR techs are present to support staffing
• No floating requirements
• Self-scheduling is allowed

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS (AHA) certification required; ACLS preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BSN not required for this position
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Scrubbing not required for RNs in this role

Additional Information

• Daytime supervisor present but does not typically take a patient assignment
• House supervisor available when call begins
• Hospital-provided scrubs with no specific dress code requirements beyond facility standards
• Unit-specific orientation provided as needed
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation required
• No holiday call requirements
• COVID vaccination not required for this facility
