Description
American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift travel position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and a CA RN license.
Details
- Work in the ICU unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
- Every other weekend requirement
- On call/call off based on census
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (hard stop)
- Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Skilled in ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
- Skilled in CVVHD/CRRT and management of chronic/acute renal failure
- Skilled in titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, and emergency medications
- Skilled in CVA/acute stroke management and hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Skilled in IV insulin protocols and hemodialysis
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required
- Copy of all certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring advanced hemodynamic and respiratory support
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius for travel rate eligibility
- Former employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
- Only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- First-time travelers considered if minimum experience requirements are met
