Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN with at least 2 years of specialty experience and a WV or compact RN license for a travel assignment with call and weekend requirements.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Setting includes Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Pre/Post Procedure, and Special Procedures areas
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
• Alternate schedule of 84 hours per two-week pay period on a one-week 3x12, next-week 4x12 rotation
• 1-2 call shifts per week and 1-2 weekends per month required
• Float required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required
• IR experience a plus
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, stent placement, and Impella insertion
• Experience with EP procedures such as cardioversion and pacemaker insertion preferred
• Proficient in sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent residence
• Flu vaccine required, with medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case

Additional Information

• Scrubs and lead apron provided for cases
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility for STEMI call response
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered; must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
• Travelers who have completed one year must take a minimum 6-month break before returning
• Minimal traveler pairs accepted, and pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
