Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience for a diagnostic cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology setting.

Details

• Work in a diagnostic cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology unit
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Patient population includes young adult, middle adult, and older adult patients
• Responsibilities include equipment set up, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field
• Procedures include angioplasty, aortography, chemoembolization, embolization, ERCP, IVC filter placement/removal, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, pelvic and renal angiography, stent placement, and thoracentesis
• Genitourinary procedures include cholecystostomy, cystoscopy, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, renal artery stent placement, ureteral stent placement, and uterine arterial embolization
• Utilizes vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
• Epic EMR experience required
• May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
• Weekend scheduling may exceed every-other-weekend to meet unit needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of IR experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT or CCI RCIS certification required
• ARRT(R) certification required
• California Radiologic Technologist license required
• Current state license required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with vascular and endovascular interventional procedures required
• Must be comfortable working with young adult, middle adult, and older adult patient populations

Additional Information

• Must be open to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility to be considered for the local rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required prior to start
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
