Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with general, ortho, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgical experience for a weekend-focused assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend schedule covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• No on-call responsibilities
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; PALS preferred
• Experience in General, Orthopedic, Neuro, Trauma, and ENT surgical cases required
• Pediatric surgical experience preferred
• Must complete an on-site drug screen including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, general, and ENT procedures
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen upon arrival
• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• RTO must be submitted with application and some holiday coverage is expected
• Pending license may be accepted with submission but must be active prior to start date
• First-time travelers will be considered as long as required skills are met
