Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring ventilator experience and GA or compact licensure.

Details

• ICU with IMCU unit setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within facility and to sister campus as needed
• Uses Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR charting systems

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
• Ventilator experience required
• Experience with care of ventilated patients, trachs, and respiratory/thoracic cases required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Experience with sepsis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, DKA, dialysis, stroke post TPA, cardiogenic shock, and surgical ICU patients required
• Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring experience preferred

Additional Information

• Care for complex ICU patients including those with sepsis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, stroke, and cardiogenic shock
• Maximum of 7 RTO days per contract, all finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Shift and contract length are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted
