Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and Epic charting proficiency for a rehabilitation center setting.
Details
- Outpatient rehabilitation center setting with exposure to acute care, rehabilitation hospital, and skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings
- Patient ratio of 1:2, treating adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, either 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts between 8:30a-8p
- No weekend or holiday requirements
- Epic charting system experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Active NJ license or NJ Compact Privilege required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Experience with orthopedic rehab including body mechanics, cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical/shoulder/spinal surgery, total hip and knee replacement preferred
- Experience with neurologic rehab including cognitive disorders, MS, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehab, spinal cord injury, and TBI preferred
- Pelvic floor certification and vestibular experience highly preferred
- Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and neurologic patient populations in an outpatient setting
- Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Any color scrubs accepted
- Flu vaccine required with religious and medical exemptions accepted; unvaccinated candidates must wear a mask
- Open to first-time travelers
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
