Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with skilled home care experience and OASIS training for a Florida-based assignment.

Details

• Skilled home care setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients
• Performs 6-8 home skilled visits per day
• Patient population includes high-risk diagnoses such as heart failure, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke
• Provides post-op care, general medical care, and cardiopulmonary assessments
• Performs wound care, ABI compression dressing, wound vac dressing, Pleurx/Aseptdrain care, foley catheter changes, staple/suture removal, and SQ port access/deaccess
• Performs IV skills including PICC line and midline care, SQ/IM injections, and venipuncture lab draws
• Uses glucometer and pro-time machine for patient monitoring
• Day shift schedule with hours varying based on HomeCare office needs, including Mon-Fri 8a-5p, 9a-6p, and alternating weekend shifts
• Self-scheduling of visits and hours based on office needs
• Uses laptop, MiFi, portable printer, and BayCare Forms, Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation systems

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home care experience required (private duty nursing experience alone not accepted)
• Home health experience with OASIS training and experience required
• IV skills and wound care experience required
• Experience with high-risk diagnoses including HF, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke required
• Must have more than one completed travel assignment
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits
• Cerner experience preferred
• COVID vaccination or exemption form required
• Flu shot or declination required, with mandatory mask wearing if declined

• Provides comprehensive skilled home health nursing care across a variety of clinical needs
• Required to wear any solid color scrubs
• Locals accepted at the same pay rate
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility unless local rate applies
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning to any BayCare facility as a traveler
• RTO is not accepted in travel contracts for this position
