Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry night shift position requiring at least one year of recent telemetry experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 28-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit (4NT M/S Telemetry) within the North Tower
• Unit staffed with CNC, RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and a unit secretary
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Equipment used includes Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, glucometers, mobilab, and Welch Allyn devices
• EMR system used is Meditech
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 13-week assignment
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule for full time staff
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to other M/S telemetry units and the ED for inpatient hold patients

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and wound care procedures preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry monitoring and general medical-surgical nursing care, including wound care
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team including RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and unit secretary
• Caring, compassionate, flexible, and dependable personality fit preferred
• BSN preferred but not required
• Scrub color required is Royal Blue
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
