Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiographer for a full-time days contract requiring ARRT(R) certification and BLS.
Details
- Diagnostic Imaging department performing radiologic examinations
- Monday through Friday day shift schedule
- 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school
- ARRT(R) certification required
- BLS/BCLS certification required
- State license required if applicable
- Previous staff radiographer experience preferred
- Working knowledge of computer programs and facility-based computer systems
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with ability to make independent decisions
Additional Information
- Perform and document diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by healthcare providers
- Assist physicians with radiologic and special procedures
- Prepare completed examinations for radiologist interpretation
- Administer oral and intravenous contrast media under physician direction or per protocol
- Transport, move, and position patients safely
- Analyze radiographic examinations for quality control purposes
- Participate in quality assurance activities within the Imaging Department
- Maintain radiation safety and assist with supply management
