Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Med Surg unit requiring current CRT or RRT licensure and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Details

• Work in the Med Surg unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with three consecutive 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p
• Schedule requires flexibility in hours to accommodate occasional early or late meetings

Requirements

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• CRT or RRT licensure required
• Must have graduated from an accredited respiratory therapy program and passed a certification exam
• License required if applicable
• Ability to tolerate prolonged standing and/or sitting
• Occasional bending, stooping, or stretching required
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
• 2 professional references required from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager within the past year and within the specialty

Additional Information

• Interview and examine patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
• Consult with physicians to develop treatment plans
• Monitor and record patient progress and document accurately in patient charts
• Treat patients using methods such as chest physiotherapy and aerosol treatments
• Use of office equipment such as computers, telephones, fax machines, or copiers may be required
• Candidates must live outside a 75 mile radius of the facility to be considered
