Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for an 8-hour day shift assignment requiring proficiency in peri-op and PACU care with multiple surgical specialty experience.

Details

• Operating Room unit in a teaching hospital setting
• 8-hour day shift, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, 40 hours guaranteed
• No weekend requirements, but holidays required if needed
• Will float and precept to facility and an affiliated surgery center as needed
• Must have proficiency in Phase I and II PACU care
• Experience with sedation, critical drips, and telemetry interpretation required
• Responsible for preparing both the OR room and the patient
• Multiple surgical specialty experience required

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required in hand at time of consideration, no compact, provisional, conditional, or temporary licenses accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
• Minimum 2 years of OR or Pre-Op experience required
• Phase I and II PACU experience required
• Multiple surgical specialty experience required
• BSN preferred
• PACU skills checklist current within 1 year required
• Pre/Peri-Op skills checklist current within 1 year required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
• Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Facility-provided scrubs
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Permanent address must be included in candidate profile
• All scheduling and RTO requests must be submitted at time of profile submission; requests made after offer may result in rescinded offer
• Candidates preferring block scheduling or 10/12-hour shift accommodations will not be considered
• Candidates seeking to work this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment will not be considered
