Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN with an active MI license and at least 2 years of PACU experience for a 13-week assignment in Bay City, MI.
Details
- Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit of a 415-bed acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule with variable start times, 12-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
- Weekend rotation required
- On-call responsibilities required
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required at time of submission (compact license not accepted)
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
Additional Information
- Continuously monitor patient vital signs and level of consciousness during anesthesia recovery
- Manage airway patency and respond to respiratory distress
- Administer medications for pain, nausea, and post-operative symptom management
- Assess surgical sites, dressings, and overall patient condition for complications
- Communicate patient status and care plans with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care
- No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
- Candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers and subject to local pay adjustments
