Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, requiring BLS certification and experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures.

Details

• Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting caring for adult and geriatric patients
• 3x12 hour AM shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• On-call required
• May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology
• BLS required, RCIS and ACLS certification preferred
• Active NJ license required if applicable
• Minimum of two years experience as a Cardiac Invasive Technologist preferred
• Experience with diagnostic and cardiac/peripheral interventional procedures
• Must be able to take STEMI call
• Demonstrated knowledge of catheters, wires, stents, and supplies

Additional Information

• Assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, scrubbing in as needed
• Function in all roles including case recorder, cardiac circulator, and scrub assistant
• Prepare patients for examinations and monitor/report clinical changes to RN or physician
• Perform point-of-care testing per CLIA guidelines
• Document all procedures including labeling, identifying studies, and entering charges
• Maintain sterile procedures and infection prevention standards
• Report equipment malfunctions, assist team members, and replenish supplies as needed
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a break prior to a new assignment
