Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center requiring 3+ years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room/Surgical Services department of a Level 1 Trauma Center
• 22-bed unit serving all patient ages with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Common procedures include Ortho, Gyn, OB, Plastics, General, Cardiovascular, Neuro, Urology, Breast, and Podiatry cases
• Uses Epic EMR
• Varied shift schedule including 9-5, 11-7, 1-9, and 3-11 shifts, plus weekend daylight shifts
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed
• Call requirements of one to two times per week in 8-hour increments
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CPI/HWC
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Robotics experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Report to the Director of Surgical Services and OR Nurse Manager
• Orientation held weekly on Mondays
• Blue scrubs provided; casual attire not permitted
• Candidates must complete PA-specific background clearances including Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, and PATCH State Police Clearance prior to start
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
