Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN - Operating Room with at least 1 year of experience and a SC or compact RN license for a flexible, multi-specialty OR role.
Details
- Operating Room unit supporting multiple service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics
- Day shift schedule with 4/10hr or 4/9hr shift options
- Call required every 4th weekend plus 1-2 days per week based on staffing needs
- Floating to similar units required as needed
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
- Nursys verification required for nursing candidates within 30 days of start
Additional Information
- Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
- Provide age-specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice
- Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors
- Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
- Contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring novice employees
- Participate in hospital-system initiatives and evidence-based nursing practices
- Demonstrate professional growth through goal setting and continuing education
