Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU/Pre-Op RN for a Perioperative role requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Pre-Op unit supporting the Operating Room in a Level 3 trauma hospital
• 8-bed unit with 1:1 patient ratios
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and minimal pediatric cases
• Shift runs 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM with every other weekend required
• Call requirements apply
• No floating required
• Uses Cerner EHR

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA certifications required)
• Must provide Social Security number and date of birth for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the Pre-Op area supporting OR cases
• Team player who works well under pressure is a strong personality fit
• Orientation held every 2nd and 4th Monday
• Black scrubs provided by the hospital; artificial nails not permitted
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
