Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring strong telemetry skills and vasoactive/inotrope titration experience.

Details

• 25-bed Intensive Care Unit in a Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• 2:1 patient ratios with no LNAs or PCTs on staff
• Around-the-clock mid-level providers, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists; PT/OT available on day shift
• Uses GE monitors, Hamilton Bipaps and Hiflows, Puritan ventilators, and Hemospheres
• Documentation completed in Meditech Expanse
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 12 shifts per month (3 shifts per week), including 4 weekend shifts per month
• Floating required on a rotation basis with travelers floating first
• Unit performs intubation, central line and arterial line placement, and chest tube placement

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Strong telemetry skills required
• Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications required
• Chest tube experience required
• Open heart surgery experience, temporary pacing, and Swan-Ganz catheter experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Participate in bedside shift report and update MyCare boards each shift
• Schedule is built by department leadership around requested time off
• Scrubs required for dress code (any color accepted)
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
