Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit role requiring 2 years of solid PCU experience and CO/compact RN licensure.

Details

• Mixed acuity medical-surgical progressive care unit with 22 staffed beds
• 12-bed high acuity medical-surgical area with 1:4-5 ratio and 10-bed PCU with 1:3-4 ratio, consistent across day and night shifts
• Rotates to med-surg assignments on the unit as part of rotation
• May float to sister facilities within the metro region per facility need
• Rotating 3x12 shifts (days 7:00-19:00, nights 19:00-7:00) with preference for staff able to work rotating shifts, though straight nights considered
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of solid PCU experience, clearly noted in work history
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac monitoring

Additional Information

• Care for a diverse medical-surgical patient population with varying acuity levels in a collaborative team environment
• Navy blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on relevant experience
• Max 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout dates during certain holiday and peak periods
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates must disclose prior employment details
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be eligible for a local rate
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
