Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring MO or compact licensure and prior stepdown nursing experience.
Details
- Stepdown unit within a short-term acute care hospital
- 1:3 patient ratios
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- On-call required every 3rd weekend
- Float rotation to med tele, med surg, and rehab units as needed
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active RN license (MO or Compact)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- 1-2 years of recent stepdown nursing experience required
- Experience with drips including Cardizem, Amio, Heparin, and Dobutamine
- Experience with special procedures/equipment including Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Bipap, and Airvo
Additional Information
- May be scheduled for charge nurse duties when needed
- Must be comfortable caring for isolation patients, including COVID-19 cases
- Black scrub color required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility will be accepted
- All time-off requests must be submitted with the initial application
