Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift travel position requiring 2 years of experience in ED and critical care settings.

Details

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy department within a 355-bed facility featuring specialty centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, and Lung Centers, along with a Level 3 NICU
• All patient population ranging from geriatric to pediatric
• Uses ventilators including Servo-I, Drager Evita 500, PB 840, Hamilton T-1 & MR-1
• Uses Bipaps (V-60), ResMed CPAPs, High flow (Optiflow), MetaNeb, Vest, and Siemens RapidPoint 500e Blood Gas analyzers
• Cerner EMR used
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a)
• Weekend hours on an alternating basis
• Possible on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• NC RRT license required (License required if applicable)
• Minimum Associate Degree in Respiratory Care
• 2 years of experience preferred, including ED and Critical Care background
• Nursery experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Work within a collaborative respiratory therapy team covering full range of diagnoses and treatments
• Must demonstrate strong teamwork skills while also functioning independently
• Gray or black solid-colored scrubs preferred; no prints allowed
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
• Orientation occurs twice monthly with mandatory start dates aligned to scheduled orientation sessions
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
