Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years cath lab experience and an OH or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional catheterizations
- Patient population includes adult diagnostic and interventional catheterization cases
- Utilizes specialized equipment including IABP, temporary pacemakers, permanent pacemakers, ICD, Micra, peripheral equipment, and Penumbra devices
- Performs procedures including stent and balloon placement with conscious sedation
- Lab staffing ratio is 2 nurses and 1 tech, with recovery area staffed at 2 nurses for up to 7 patients
- Charting systems include Xper, Paragon, and Athena with training provided
- Day shift schedule Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
- On-call requirement of 8-9 call shifts per 4-week schedule
- One weekend on-call commitment per schedule cycle (Friday 4:30pm-Monday 7:30am) plus approximately 5 weekdays within a 4-week period
- Floating limited to nuclear medicine for stress tests or sedation support for biopsies
- Assignment may include time split between the lab and pre/post procedure areas
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring required
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
- Experience with left and right heart catheterization and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring required
- US citizenship required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in both the cath lab and recovery/pre-post procedure areas
- Scrubs are provided for this position
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
