Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for an adult echo lab requiring 1+ year of specialty experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Inpatient and outpatient adult echo lab setting with TTE, TEE, SEC, and structural heart involvement
• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekend requirement and no on-call requirement
• No floating within scope required
• Uses Definity for echo contrast and Philips equipment
• Epic (Excellian) EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiography required
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS RDCS AE, CCI RCS, and RDCS certifications required; license required if applicable
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Experience with adult echo, 2-D and 3-D echo, color Doppler, and imaging with contrast agents required
• Experience with TEE and routine echo studies required
• Preferred skills include bubble study, M-mode, pharmacologic stress echo, portable studies, RVIT/RVOT, treadmill stress echo, diastology, LV strain/volume, and Simpson's Rule calculations
• Experience in adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department work settings

Additional Information

• Facility offers monthly echo education sessions providing 1 CME per session
• Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital if needed
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted for this position
• Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked as perm staff or per diem
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days
• Scrub color is gray
• 1 supervisor reference minimum required for consideration
