Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Operating Room with 2 years of acute care experience and Epic proficiency for a day shift position in Louisville, KY.

Details

Works in the Surgical Services department of a hospital setting
Exposure to procedures including hysterectomy, gyn, total joints, general, bariatric, Davinci Robot, ENT, thoracics, neuro spine, and plastics
Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
No weekend shifts required
Call requirement of up to 40 hours on a 6-week schedule
40 hours per week across 5 days

Requirements

Active KY or compact RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care
Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as a mentor/preceptor
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs
Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives
Facilitates patient and family education throughout care and at discharge
