Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Inpatient Rehab unit requiring a PA or Compact RN license and acute inpatient rehab experience.
Details
- Acute Inpatient Rehab unit within a community hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and every other holiday required
- Floating required to Med/Surg and Telemetry units
- No call requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active PA or Compact RN license required in hand
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Acute Inpatient Rehab experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Experience with blood glucose monitoring required
- Experience with care and management of ports required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius, though local candidates are accepted at a different rate
- RTO must be submitted at time of application and cannot be added afterward
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- PA fingerprints are required and must be completed within one week of signing, which may involve travel of over 100 miles
- Pass/Fail clinical exam required for clearance with a maximum of three attempts
- Provide direct patient care including IV therapy, insulin protocols, wound care, and patient teaching
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
