Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Level II Special Care Nursery/NICU position requiring NRP certification and experience with high-risk deliveries.

Details

• Level II Special Care Nursery with 4 licensed beds in a small community hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Common diagnoses include TTN, NAS, hypoglycemia, and preterm conditions
• Equipment used includes GE, Baxter, and Natus
• Uses Paragon EHR system
• 12-hour shifts scheduled 7a-7p or 7p-7a
• Rotating weekend requirement
• No call requirements
• During low census, staff will complete tasks rather than being floated to other units

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and STABLE
• 1-2 years of experience preferred
• Associate's degree required
• Experience attending high-risk deliveries and utilizing NRP skills and post-resuscitation care required
• Must not be employed elsewhere full time

Additional Information

• Provide NICU/Special Care Nursery care including high-risk delivery attendance and post-resuscitation care
• Collaborative, motivated, and self-sufficient problem solvers are ideal fits
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; street clothes are not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Holiday and every-other-weekend coverage required
